Didn't I just answer this question?

Sorry, you are really asking something else.

Forget about straightening it. You want to do everything to maximize the natural wave.

You are ahead of the game. Go with it. Girls who have straight hair want curls and girls who have curls want it straight. The truth is, guys like full thick hair no matter what the style. Some women look great straight and some look surly curly. Just make yourself feel good. That's the biggest attraction.

For loose or big curls you will need to use a big curling iron or big curlers. But a salon will cost you an arm and an leg because your hair is long. So save up some money!

You sound like you have beautiful hair so don't ruin it by perming it. Use different tongs for different looks. That way you will never be bored with it. If you perm it you will probably eventually get bored with the look and try to straighten it again. This will only damage your hair. My hair is very fine so I would give anything for hair like yours. Make the most of it and don't damage it. It is your crowning glory.x

The type of perm you want is called a permanent wave, with this type of perm you can blow dry it straight, or use mouse or hair gel and scrunch it. When you get it done, ask for larger perm rods so that your curls will be larger and looser, not tight. As for the price I can't help ypu there, things have changed. Some salons will raise their prices just to match the cost of living. Never choose the first salon, shop around and ask for photos of their prior work!
